Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、伊豆諸島北部の最南端に位置する神津島〔こうづしま〕をフィールドに、従来確かにグリーフケアの機能をはたしてきた豊かな供養実践が縮小しつつあることについて、それをきたした要因およびそれに対する人々の対応をリアルタイムでとらえる。それをとおして、供養実践がグリーフケアとして存立しうるための社会的条件を浮き彫りにし、従来の死生学的な理論に対して新たな視点を提供することをもって、グリーフをめぐる現代的実践的課題にも寄与することを目指す。
