Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は「胎児の死」をめぐる宗教的実践に対する記述的側面から出発し、東アジアの宗教がいかに胎児生命観の変遷に対応するかを検討するものである。中でも特に公共的な領域との関わりを持ち、胎児を「これから生まれてくる赤ん坊」と位置付ける胎児生命尊重運動の側面に着目する。本研究は今まで看過されてきた1980年代以降の日本の状況を焦点に、胎児生命尊重運動に取り組む団体や関係者を中心に調査を行う予定である。中でも、特に1980年代初期に成立した団体「生命尊重センター」の取組みに着眼し、出版物の分析、インタビュー調査などを実施する予定である。
