Outline of Research at the Start

戦後のポピュラーカルチャーにおいては天皇の形象がしばしば明示的／暗示的に提示されてきたが、特に2010年代以降、皇室関係者のメディア露出によってその数は増加し、かつ明示的になる傾向をたどっている。これらは時に皇室に関するオカルト的想像力を喚起し、また時に同時代における歴史認識問題を浮き彫りにするもの場合があり、現在の皇室をめぐる状況を考察する上で欠かせない。本研究では特に近代天皇と皇族女子の表象を中心的に検討し、同時代の主要メディアにおける天皇・皇族・皇室表象と比較を試み、それらを通して従来の近現代天皇制研究を刷新する。
