Outline of Research at the Start

これまであまり研究が進んでいなかった1870年代から1930年代のドイツ・オーストリア音楽における日本文化受容の全貌を明らかにし、ドイツ・オーストリア音楽史に「音楽のジャポニスム」を位置付ける。申請者はこれまでに3つのオペラ、2つのオペレッタ、7つの歌曲集（全42曲）について日本文化受容の様相を解明し、その発展段階を整理した。本研究では新たに見出したオペラ、歌曲集、器楽曲の研究を推進し、ドイツ・オーストリアの音楽のジャポニスムの全容を解明する。ドイツ・オーストリア音楽において日本文化は新しい音楽発想と音楽素材を提供する存在であったことを証明し、「音楽のジャポニスム」を定義づける。
