Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、フランス第三共和政期における印象派の歴史化について考察する。前衛画家に過ぎなかった印象派が、いかに国家の公式美術史に組込まれるのか、美術行政官や学芸員の言説を通して、かつナショナリズムの観点から考察する。1907年に《ルーアン大聖堂》が国家買い上げとなるなど、印象派の評価と歴史化に大きな役割を果たしたクロード・モネ（1840-1926）を中心に、印象派の歴史化の内実を明らかにする。
