Outline of Research at the Start	豊臣秀吉の伝記的資料として、散文を中心に展開した〈太閤記物〉の諸書・諸本を博捜し、権力者との関係に注目しつつ整理して体系化する。体系化した〈太閤記物〉を基軸に、書物と権力の関係を通史的に解明するとともに、これを近世文学研究における一つの評価軸としても構築・提示する。
