日本語は,「っけ」「じゃん」「の」「もん」などの文末要素を豊富に有する言語である。生成文法の言語理論において,これらの文末要素は,補文標識句 (CP) と呼ばれる領域に現れる。CP領域に関する研究は極めて積極的に行われているものの,日本語の文末要素がどのような統語変化を経て生じたのかについては,未解明の点が多い。このような背景から,本研究は,日本語の文末要素に関わる統語変化を主題とする。本研究では,生成文法に基づく文法化研究で報告されている「上方再分析」と呼ばれる文法化に焦点を当てる。
