Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は近現代日本語の通時コーパスに基づき，漢字使用の実態について解明することを目的とするものである。この目的を達するために本研究では日本語の表記や語彙の研究に資する近現代小説コーパスとして芥川龍之介賞受賞作品（芥川賞作品）のコーパスを構築して縦断的な調査に供すると共に既存のコーパスを利用して横断的な調査も実施することにより，その変化を体系的に明らかにする。その上で総体として捉えた漢字の使われ方を対象とする巨視的な研究と個々の漢字の使われ方を対象とする微視的な研究の相互接続を目指す。
