Outline of Research at the Start	日本人海外移住者は、国際結婚によりマルチリンガル家庭を形成するケースが極めて多く、日本語継承研究に複雑さを加えてきた。本研究ではカナダで国際結婚した日本人女性を対象に、これまで扱われなかった「移民アジア人女性である母親の社会との関わり」を焦点に、母親の意思や行動が日本語継承にどう関係するのかを長期的に調査する。別居家庭なども対象とし、多様化する社会での継承語教育の現状を踏まえて調査を行う。これまで継承語研究では焦点とされなかった、国際結婚家庭のジェンダーとエスニシティに言及することで、新たな知見を獲得し、研究者、教育関係者や対象家庭での継承語指導の理解と向上に貢献するものである。
