Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、米軍統治下沖縄の公衆衛生政策、とりわけハンセン病政策を中心に、米国統治下フィリピンにおける公衆衛生政策との比較検討を通して、米国・米軍統治において公衆衛生政策が担ってきた役割とその変遷を明らかにする。フィリピンと沖縄という、いずれも軍事の論理が優先された空間において実施された公衆衛生政策を「統治のテクノロジー」として分析し、その系譜を描き出すことが本研究の目的である。
