Outline of Research at the Start

中華人民共和国で拡大し始めたとされる今般の新型コロナウイルス感染症は、日本を含む世界各国の政治や社会・経済活動などに広範な影響を及ぼしている。中国の情報隠蔽体質が初動の遅れを招き、それがウイルスの世界的な感染拡大につながったことがしばしば指摘されているが、中国の感染症に対する情報収集体制はいつ、なぜ、どのように構築されてきたかという基本的な問題は未だ明らかにされていない。そこで、本研究は、多言語によるマルチアーカイブ・アプローチを用いてその歴史的起源を探り、研究史の大きな空白を埋めることを試みる。
