Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、1984年に合衆国が公表したメキシコシティ政策の前史と背景、策定・運用過程、および帰結を考察する。その作業を通じて、生殖権とその権利をめぐるポリティクスが、1980年代以降の合衆国で進展した保守革命と新自由主義改革の下で有した意義を解明する。この政策指針は、新自由主義改革を世界に迫るアメリカ政府と、西洋中心主義的な国際秩序の解体と国際的な富の再配分をもとめる第三世界諸国との衝突という歴史的文脈に位置付けることができる。本研究は、このような視角から同政策を検証することを通じて、新自由主義体制下における生権力の容態を解明することを目指す。
