Outline of Research at the Start

地方圏では人口減少が顕著であり，その大きな要因として若者の流出が挙げられる。また，地域で生まれ育った若者がどれだけ地域に残るかは，地域の将来性を計る1つの指標と考えられ，多くの自治体等が，若者の地元定着促進を地域計画の柱に置いている。一方で，若者が地域に残るかどうかは，本人はもとより，彼らの保護者の意識も少なからず影響していると推測される。そこで，本研究では，地方圏出身の若者および，その保護者世代を対象として，若者の地元残留に対する意識構造とその規定要因を明らかにする。こうして得られた研究結果を基に，若者の地元定着促進の地域課題を議論し，具体的な政策提言に結び付ける。
