Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、「部落（ブールゥォ）」と呼ばれる台湾先住民の伝統的コミュニティが1980年代以降、先住民運動の勃興を契機として再実体化され、再構築された過程を再検討する。「部落」がシンボリックに構築される過程と、政治空間として再実体化される過程に着目し、二つの過程のいずれにおいても担い手となる先住民コミュニティにおけるローカルNGOの役割を検討することで、現在の先住民の人々にとっての「部落」の意味づけを分析する。本研究の成果は、先住民の脱植民地化という歴史的課題の回答につながり、ひいてはコミュニティという人類学の古典概念について再考する事例を提供することとなる。
