Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は気候変動を中心とした日本のメディアによる報道傾向を取り上げ、メディアにおける安全保障化のプロセスを解明することを目的とする。具体的には、(1)新聞における気候変動報道傾向、(2)国民の意識や国家の意思決定への影響、の2課題について記事の内容分析、国民意識調査、及び統計分析を行う。これにより、気候変動が国民にとってどの程度脅威の対象として伝わっているか分析ができ、気候変動を安全保障化するに当たって、メディアの可能性と限界を明らかにするだけでなく、メディアを活用した環境問題を解決するための実践と対策を提供することにつながる。
