Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は「地理的な要因は技術分野内の主流形成にどのような影響を与えているのだろうか」という問いに関する知見を提供することである。この目的の下、本研究ではGPUおよびコンピュータグラフィック処理技術分野の米国特許データを分析対象とし、ネットワーク分析や自然言語処理等のデータ分析手法を応用することで本技術分野内の主流となる技術進化の軌跡を定量的に可視化する。そして主流に属する特許の発明者・その特許を保持する企業等の所在地情報と都市情報データを組み合わせることで、本技術分野における主流形成に都市の存在やその特徴といった地理的な要因がどのような影響を与えてきたかを明らかにする。
