Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、不妊治療への経済支援が女性の就業と出産、そして不妊治療の医療環境に与える影響について明らかにする。
日本では不妊治療に対して、2004年度から助成金支給、2022年度から健康保険適用範囲拡大が実施された。不妊治療への経済支援は、出産確率を高める効果が期待される一方、出産のタイミングを遅らせる可能性や、治療を受けられる医療環境が整備されていない場合、女性は治療のために退職せざるを得ない可能性がある。女性の就業と出産の両立が難しい日本を対象に、不妊治療への経済支援に関する効果を不妊治療の需要側と供給側の両方の視点から検証することで、女性の就業と出産の両立が可能な少子化対策を提言する。
