Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、近代日本における労働者の健康問題の発生に対して、企業および行政がどのように対応したのか、明らかにすることを目的とする。具体的には、労働条件が過酷であった石炭産業を事例とし、炭鉱労働者に発生した疾病（特に感染症）問題について、企業がどのような対策を行ったのか解明する。さらに、炭鉱内（作業現場）で問題となった疾病については、監督省庁の対応や、さらにはILOなど外部からの影響についても検討する。
