Outline of Research at the Start

寺院の特徴的な香りは、人々が参拝に訪れる理由の一つである可能性がある。しかし、寺院で焚かれる香や建材の匂いなど複合的な香りの構成成分やその香りがヒトに与える影響は明らかにされていない。
本研究では、寺院の複合的な香りの成分構成を分析し、その香りに対する心理的評価の調査により、寺院の香りに関する基盤を確立する。また、寺院の香りを模して調合した香りを用いて、生理心理的反応とその反応に関与する個人的因子の相関を分析し、寺院という特異的な場で、ヒトが嗅覚を介して受ける影響を統合的に検討する。
