Outline of Research at the Start

Focus groups, interviews and questionnaire surveys with AI teacher-users will be conducted in Japan and abroad, to investigate: a) the socio-professional impact of AI on teachers; b) teacher adaptation to using AI in the classroom; c) changes introduced in teachers' roles, responsibilities, methods, and performance evaluation criteria; and d) perceived autonomy levels and other variations. This study addresses a knowledge gap about teacher AI-related experiences, needs and preferences, thereby contributing to the effective integration of AI in education.
