Outline of Research at the Start

知的障害児(者)の「性の権利」を尊重し、本人を権利主体とした包括的性教育プログラムの開発を目的とする。
知的障害児(者)が権利を行使し本人が望む豊かな生活を実現するためには、系統的なプログラムを開発し、その継続的な実施を通して「性」に関する知識やスキル、価値観を育てていく必要がある。既に把握している知的障害者の「性」に関するニーズをもとに国内外の実践例を調査しプログラムを開発する。彼らにとって「わかりやすい」形での「性」に関する教材の研究や年間を通しての授業展開の検討等を行う本研究は、「保護の客体」として見做されやすい知的障害児(者)が「権利主体」であるとの認識を社会に啓発する一助となり得る。
