Outline of Research at the Start	申請者は自分自身の沢山の研究に基づいて、「基本群のモジュライ空間」という理論を確立した。この斬新な理論は1996年に玉川安騎男氏よって発見され、F. Pop 氏、M. Saidi 氏、M. Raynaud 氏、玉川安騎男氏等によって研究された正標数上の遠アーベル現象に一般的な理論を与えるものである。さらに、この理論はA. Grothendieck 氏によって提唱された遠アーベル哲学では説明できない現象を合理的な解釈を与え、新しい遠アーベル哲学を提供するものである。即ち、次の遠アーベル哲学である：「正標数代数閉体上の曲線の遠アーベル性質は基本群のモジュライ空間の位相的な性質と同値である」。
