Outline of Research at the Start

Numerical assessments of ICRF heating are of great significance in developing and establishing operation scenarios of a fusion device, where kinetic effects of ICRF-generated fast ions should be seriously treated. In this project, a traditional minority ion ICRF heating and a novel three-ion ICRF heating for both stellarator and tokamak configurations will be assessed based on a self-consistent kinetic-MHD hybrid model.
