The Archean Eon, spanning from 4 to 2.5 billion years ago, holds crucial evidence of our planet's evolution in rock records. This proposal seeks to utilize this evidence to gain insights into early plate tectonics. Detailed mapping of deformation zones in the Archean Dharwar craton and the creation of 3D models for these zones will help understand unique features of Archean deformation and plate tectonics. Additionally, this research aims to shed light on how the higher mantle temperature during the Archean influenced deformation mechanisms in the early Earth.
