Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、北米の複数の都市で近年実施されているダウンゾーニング（DZ）の事例に着目する。開発権の抑制を伴うDZは一般的には活用されにくいが、近年は近隣単位での環境保全のためにDZを導入する事例が散見されことから、特に以下の２点について調査・考察する。１）北米のDZの事例、特に都市成長局面におけるDZの事例を精査し、その成立要件を明らかにする。２）１）で得た内容を既往研究で明らかになっている人口減少局面におけるDZの事例および計画技術的要点と比較し、人口増加・人口減少両方の視点から計画技術としてのDZ技術の考察・体系化を試みることで、都市成長管理の方策としてのDZ技術の再定位を試みる。
