Outline of Research at the Start

Plant meristems have remarkable regeneration capacity. Upon local wounding in the root tip, certain wound-adjacent cells are activated to undergo cell division to replenish the cell loss. This project aims to reveal the molecular mechanisms underlying plant cells' responsiveness to nearby wounding.
