Outline of Research at the Start

近年、ツキノワグマが好む環境（豊富な餌と隠れ場所を提供する環境）が人間の集落に増え、クマと人間の間での軋轢が多発している。この問題に対処するうえで、集落やその周辺でのクマの具体的な活動パターンに関する情報が不足している。本研究では、GPS首輪とカメラトラップから得られるデータを組み合わせ、人間の居住地近くでのクマの移動パターンを詳細に分析する。それにより、集落内を移動する際にクマがどのようにして人間を避け、どのような環境を好むか、また、その行動が時間や環境要因によってどう変化するかを調査する。最終的に、クマと人間の遭遇を減らすための対策を提案し、共存を促進するための基盤を築くことを目指す。
