日本の畜産業において、アニマルウェルフェア(動物福祉)への配慮はまだ広く浸透していません。本研究では、アニマルウェルフェアへの取り組みを、個人の選択ではなく、地域の食システム(ローカルフードシステム)における人々のネットワークを通じた社会的な行動として捉え直します。このネットワークがアニマルウェルフェアにどのように影響するのか、そのメカニズムを明らかにすることで、日本における動物福祉の向上に向けた理論的基盤の強化と、具体的な社会変革の方向性を示すことを目指します。
