Outline of Research at the Start

犬には原因不明の非再生性貧血が好発する。免疫抑制療法が一定の治療効果をもたらすことから、その病態は骨髄中の赤芽球に対する自己免疫反応と理解されてきた。しかし免疫異常を客観的に証明するには至っていない。申請者は、罹患犬に対し脾臓摘出（脾摘）を行うことで造血能の劇的な回復がもたらされ、治療成績を大きく向上させることを明らかにした。本研究では、脾摘がいかにしてその効果を示すのか？という観点に立ち、罹患犬脾臓で産生されているであろう造血抑制因子の網羅的探索を足掛かりに病態解明を目指す。さらに抗赤芽球抗体の有無や脾摘前後の赤血球寿命の変化も併せて評価する。
