Outline of Research at the Start

尿酸排泄促進薬は尿酸の再吸収を阻害することでその体外排出を促進する薬であり、痛風や高尿酸血症の治療に用いられる。これらの薬剤は腎臓に局在する尿酸輸送体を主な分子標的として作用するが、その構造基盤は明らかになっていない。そこで本研究では、クライオ電子顕微鏡を用いて尿酸輸送体群の構造を決定し、さらに各種薬剤との複合体構造も解明することで、尿酸排泄促進薬の作用機序を解明する。
