Outline of Research at the Start

定常状態におけるマウス単球は、Ly6C陽性単球とLy6C陰性単球に分類される。申請者は、感染や組織傷害に伴う緊急造血時には、上記2つの単球亜集団とは異なる機能を示す「制御性単球」が骨髄から産生されることを世界に先駆けて報告した。本研究は、制御性単球の分化機構および免疫抑制機序を明らかにすることを目的とする。将来的には、本単球を標的とした炎症性腸疾患やがんに対する新規治療法開発を目指す。
