Outline of Research at the Start	パーキンソン病(PD)では神経前シナプスタンパク質α-Synuclein(α-Syn)の凝集が神経回路を伝播し、神経系統を破壊していくことが明らかになりつつある。そのため、α-Syn凝集化の予防・早期阻止が重要である。申請者は、脂質代謝関連PD原因遺伝子VPS13C およびPLA2G6 のノックアウトハエを用いたオミックス解析とスクリーニングからα-Syn凝集化リスク遺伝子としてATGLを同定した。本研究は、ATGLによるα-Syn凝集化機序解明とATGL阻害によるα-Syn凝集化阻害法探索を目的とする。本研究成果は脂質代謝変化によるPD発症機序の理解を進め、PDに対する予防薬の開発を目指す。
