Outline of Research at the Start	HBVのPrecore(PC)変異やBasal core promoter(BCP)変異は、劇症肝炎やHBV再活性化にともなう肝炎との関連が報告されてきたが、先行研究でPC/BCP変異型HBV感染において、小胞体ストレス応答によって、免疫を介さずして肝細胞障害が引き起こされることを明らかにした。PC/BCP変異型HBV感染と野生型HBV感染で遺伝子発現に相違が見られたことから、本研究では、抽出された遺伝子群に着目し、PC/BCP型HBV感染により引き起こされる肝細胞内の変化を解析し、HBV感染により生じる分子機構に迫り、重症肝炎の病態解明、新規治療アプローチの探索を行う。
