Outline of Research at the Start

健常者と患者間のゲノム配列における一塩基多型を比較するゲノムワイド関連解析が盛んに実施され、多くの2型糖尿病リスク遺伝子が同定された。その中でもC2CD4を膵β細胞特異的に欠失させたマウスは糖尿病化するが、その詳しいメカニズムは分かっていない。そこで、タンパク質近位依存性ビオチン化酵素TurboIDを用いてC2CD4Aが相互作用するタンパク質の候補を解析した。得られた結合候補をもとに、膵β細胞機能制御機構を解明し、2型糖尿病の治療薬開発標的とすることを目的とする。
