Outline of Research at the Start

ナトリウム利尿ペプチド（NP）と同じくcGMP活性化作用を持つVericiguatが脂肪組織や肝臓組織へ作用し、熱産生・インスリン抵抗性改善効果を示すか否かはわかっていない。本研究は基礎・臨床研究の両面からアプローチし、cGMP活性化を介した心臓-脂肪-肝臓連関という新たな病態概念の確立を目的とする。この研究成果は、新規心不全治療薬であるVericiguatを用いた心不全治療の概念を変え、さらには肥満治療という観点や治療へのResponderを見出す新たな治療戦略につながる。
