Outline of Research at the Start	特発性肺線維症急性増悪に対して、臨床現場では副腎皮質ステロイドの高用量治療とその後の漸減治療が行われるが、具体的な漸減方法についてはコンセンサスが得られていない。本研究の目的は、パイロットRCTにより、特発性肺線維症急性増悪に対するステロイド治療の大規模なRCTの実現可能性を検証することである。特発性肺線維症急性増悪で入院となる患者をランダム割付し、90日まで追跡し、アウトカムの評価を行う。本研究結果は，さらなる大規模なRCTにつながり、不必要なステロイド高用量長期投与の減少、ひいては難治性の病態であるAE-IPFの予後改善のエビデンス創出につながることが期待される。
