Outline of Research at the Start

申請者はある特定強度のT細胞受容体刺激でGATA3陽性Tregが活性化すること、そして腎固有のメサンギウム細胞がIFNγ依存的にMHC Class II分子や共刺激分子を発現し、組織Tregが活性化される可能性を見出した。この筋線維芽細胞の一種とも言われるメサンギウム細胞と組織Tregとの関係性を明らかにすることで、慢性腎臓病の進行を防げる可能性がある。本研究は、組織Tregがどのように活性化されて、免疫寛容を維持し、過剰な線維化を抑制するのかを明らかにして腎炎の炎症収束・組織修復機構を解明し、慢性腎不全を防ぐヒトでの治療応用に貢献する。
