Outline of Research at the Start

小児の急性骨髄性白血病(AML)は初期治療反応性と分子生物学的背景を根拠とした、予後因子を用いた層別化治療が行われている。予後因子による正確な予後の予測は患者の治療方針を決定するため、患者の予後に直結する極めて重要な情報である。一方で小児AMLの約30-40%は層別化のマーカーがなく、新たな予後因子の探索は急務である。近年、DNAメチル化パターンがAMLの予後と相関する報告があるが、予後因子として他の因子と統合して比較した報告はない。本研究はAML-05、AML-12臨床試験を対象にゲノムワイドDNAメチル化解析を含む統合解析による予後解析と、より適切な予後層別化による治療成績の向上を目的とする。
