脂質異常症治療薬の併用による副作用の少ないハンセン病治療法の開発に向けた研究

Outline of Research at the Start

新規の多菌型ハンセン病患者30例を対象に、WHO推奨のMDTに加えて無作為に脂質異常症治療薬のベザフィブラートSR錠 400 mgを1日2回に分けて連日内服とし、12ヶ月投与後に非投与群30例と治療効果を比較する。その項目は治療期間（Mann WhitneyのU検定）、「らい反応」の出現頻度比較、再発率の比較（χ２検定）である。さらに皮膚スメア検査を治療開始前後に行い、DNA抽出にて特異的な遺伝子（RLEP）発現量評価とmRNA抽出にてらい菌の16S rRNAの発現量をreal-time PCRで定量して菌のviabilityを推定する。
