Outline of Research at the Start

In this project, I aim to develop a vascular regenerative therapy for the ischemic heart using a combination of circulating monocytes (MN) and an integrin-specific decellularized extracellular matrix (dECM)-derived injectable hydrogel. The hydrogel as a safety vascular scaffold is to promote the differentiation of circulating monocytes into endothelial cell-like cells as well as to increase cell viability after injection.
