Outline of Research at the Start

敗血症の短期予後は改善したものの、多くの生存患者は身体・認知・精神の障害をきたす集中治療後症候群(Post-Intensive Care Syndrome; PICS)に苛まれている。重症病態後の脳では萎縮や微小出血などの器質的異常を生じることが知られているが、器質的な脳の変化がPICS発症に与える影響は不明である。
