Outline of Research at the Start

骨軟部肉腫は骨や軟部組織に発生する非上皮性悪性腫瘍である。骨軟部肉腫には多くの組織型が存在し、病勢や薬物療法・放射線療法への感受性、さらに予後も異なることが珍しくない。そのため、病勢や治療感受性、予後の予測に有効なバイオマーカーの確立が求められている。また骨軟部肉腫はその稀少性ゆえに薬剤の開発が進まず、新規治療法の開発が長年求められ続けている。Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs）は悪性腫瘍の増大や進展にも関与することが知られている。本研究の目的は、有効なバイオマーカーや新規治療法の開発を目指して、骨軟部肉腫におけるNETsの関与を評価することである。
