本研究の概要は、運動器障害発生や運動能力の低下に関連すると指摘されている、小児期の運動器機能に関する研究である。
Modified Time up and go test(MTUG)やFunctional reach test(FRT)は簡便で信頼度の高い運動能力の評価方法であり、高齢者の転倒リスクや発達障害のある小児の運動能力の評価に広く用いられている。一般小中学生の運動能力の評価に有用であることが期待される。
本研究は、現代の小中学生のMTUG, FRTを調査、運動器機能との関連を明らかにし、健康な小児における運動能力の基準値の調査を行う研究である。
