Outline of Research at the Start

γδT細胞を用いた免疫細胞療法はin vitroおよびin vivoの実験では強力な抗腫瘍効果を発揮するため癌免疫療法の有望な治療として熱望視されてきた。しかし、これまでのγδT細胞を用いたヒトを対象とした臨床試験では期待したような癌免疫療法としての抗腫瘍効果が発揮できているとは言い難い。癌組織内にtumor microbiomeが存在することが報告された。tumor microbiomeにはγδT細胞を活性化するリン酸化抗原が豊富に存在するとの仮説の下、本研究では膀胱癌組織内のmicrobiomeに着目したγδT細胞療法responderの患者選別が可能かにつき検証する。
