Outline of Research at the Start

慢性前立腺炎/骨盤痛症候群（CP/CPPS）は治療が難しく、頻尿や排尿時の痛みといった下部尿路症状（LUTS）を引き起こす疾患である。この症状は、TRP（Transient Receptor Potential）チャネル、特にTRPM8の異常活性化による膀胱の知覚過敏が関与している。最近の研究で、TRPM8が膀胱だけでなく前立腺にも高発現していることが報告されており、このチャネルを標的とした治療がCP/CPPSに効果的である可能性が示唆されている。本研究は、非細菌性前立腺炎モデルラットを用いてTRPM8ターゲット治療の効果を検証し、新たな治療法の開発を目指す。
