Outline of Research at the Start

腹膜播種は治療が困難な癌進展様式で、特に腹膜の環境下での癌細胞生存メカニズムの解明と治療抵抗性を克服する新規治療の開発が重要である。中皮細胞の間葉転換が癌の浸潤を促進し、calcitriolがこれを抑制することから、腹膜環境を標的とした治療の可能性が示された。本研究では中皮細胞の多様性解析、中皮間葉転換阻害薬の開発を進め、腹膜播種の治療法として長期的な腫瘍増生抑制を目指し、患者のQOL向上と社会活動参画を促進する持続可能な治療戦略の開発が期待される。
