Outline of Research at the Start	高リスク型ヒトパピローマウイルス（HPV）感染による発癌は、全癌の約5%とされ、頭頸部癌においては約20-25%、鼻副鼻腔癌扁平上皮癌では約10-30%である。しかし鼻副鼻腔非扁平上皮癌におけるHPV感染は不明であり、治療戦略も定まっていない。本研究では、鼻副鼻腔非扁平上皮癌における高リスク型HPV感染の臨床病理学的特徴および遺伝子発現の解明を目指す。本研究は鼻副鼻腔領域におけるHPV感染の新たなクライテリアとなり、今後の正確な病理診断に結び付く可能性がある。さらには臨床病理学的特徴や遺伝子発現を解明することで、新たな治療戦略の探索やHPVワクチン接種の啓蒙につながると考える。
