Outline of Research at the Start	自閉スペクトラム症 (Autism spectrum disorder, ASD)は社会的コミュニケーションの低下と興味の限局や繰り返し行動を主症状とする神経発達症であるが、これらの主症状に加え味覚異常も呈する。ASD病態では5基本味のうちどの味覚に異常を呈し、その異常が末梢組織の味細胞、味覚神経、または中枢神経の味覚関連脳領域に起因するのか、原因組織と分子メカニズムをASDモデル動物 (バルプロ酸投与マウス、シナプス後膜足場タンパク質Shank3 欠損マウス)を用いて明らかにする。
