Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は“歯髄幹細胞の無血清培養上清を用いた脂肪肝に対する治療法”と、その検証に用いる“脂肪肝モデル器官培養”を新規開発するものである。脂肪肝は肝臓に脂肪が異常に蓄積する疾患であり、特に非アルコール性脂肪性肝疾患は肝硬変や肝がんへと進行する危険性が高く、死亡率も高い。現在の治療法は生活習慣の改善や薬物療法が主であるが、効果は限定的であり、副作用も問題となっている。一方、歯髄由来間葉系幹細胞は歯髄から容易に採取できる有能な細胞資源として確立されており、その培養上清には抗炎症作用があると報告されている。
