本申請課題における具体的な検証仮説は、1.若年者における咀嚼行動と食嗜好の関連はあるか、2.若年者とその母親（父親）の間で咀嚼行動や食嗜好に関連があるか、の2点である．本研究では，若年者を対象とし，咀嚼行動の違いと日常的な摂取食品の嗜好に関連があるのか，またその特徴は，彼らの母親（父親）の咀嚼行動及び食嗜好と関連があるのかを明らかにすることを目的としている．
